The Rev. Charles L. Fischer III is the  Director of Alumni, Annual Fund and Church Relations in the Office of Institutional Advancement at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, VA. Fischer started on July 1, 2009.

Fischer received his M.Div. from Virginia Seminary in May, 2009. He  distinguished himself as a campus leader, serving as the Student Body President.

After college, Fischer worked in New York for JP Morgan Chase. Before coming to VTS in 2006, Charles served for five years as the Associate Director of Alumni Relations for Annual Giving at his alma mater, Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. His sending parish was St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Atlanta, where the Rev. Robert C. Wright has served as rector since 2002. Fischer's wife, Rhonda, also works in development and together they have a son, Charles IV.
