The Rev. Dr. Patrick Keen is pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in New Orleans, LA.
A Chicago native, Dr. Keen was the first director of Chicago's Habitat for Humanity program. He is a pastor developer for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a community developer, and a grass roots organizer. He has been one of the leaders involved in community rebuilding in New Orleans in the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
He is a graduate of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and earned an M.Div. in 1992 and D.Min. in 2002 with an urban ministry focus.
Dr. Keen is a member of numerous boards and organizations, and served on the music team for the ELCA Multicultural Mission Institute for many years. He was a broadcast engineer/announcer for 15 years.
Dr. Keen is the son of a minister and the 7th of 10 children. He is married to Catherine M. Wallace-Keen and they have five children and 18 grandchildren.
