The Rev. Robert W. Bohl is a retired Presbyterian pastor, moderator of the 1993 General Assembly, and chairman of Presbyterian Publishing Corp.
The Rev. Robert W. Bohl is chairman of the board of the Presbyterian Publishing Corp. (publishing under two imprints: Geneva Press and Westminster John Knox Press) and the former pastor of Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, Kan. He was moderator of the 1993 General Assembly.
One of the curious facts about each one of us is not what we believe or don't believe about God, but rather what we believe or don't believe about ourselves. The most pervasive tendency of Christians today is to be reluctant servants. It is the belief that if God wants something done hopefully God will call on someone more able than me to do it.
Read full transcript...Living in the direction of God's dreams for us. For some reason most of us have a difficult time keeping our eyes focused upon what God has dreamed we will be like. For some reason we have a difficult time between trying to do what we think God wants us to do and what we actually want to do. Most of us have lots of questions about God...and questions we would like for God to answer. That part of our nature that wants to ask God questions is best illustrated in that little book titled: Children's Letters To God. I'll give you just a couple or so to illustrate the point.
