Bishop Rob Wright: Father's Day

Ever thought about Noah on Father's Day? God asked Noah to build something out of faith in plain view of his children. We know about the ark and the animals. But what must Noah's faith have meant for his children? Everything! Children listen some, but watch more! While the physical ark is evidence of Noah's faith, it's the arc of Noah's faith that should inspire us.

Faith is trust in God stretched over time and adversity.

Noah's children knew daddy trusted God because they saw him lead the family in prayer and Bible study. They saw daddy believe God more than financial markets, corporate board structures and networks. They saw daddy balance discipline and gentleness.

Real men live by faith. And, real men live out their faith in plain view of their children and grandchildren. That's what Noah did. A father's faith in full view.

Happy Father's Day!
