Before coming to Rome om 2012, she was senior pastor of First United Methodist Church of College Park, GA for six years, and before that was an associate pastor of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church in Atlanta.
Beth is a graduate of Emory University and received a law degree from the University of Georgia. She earned her master of divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. She's currently working on a doctor of ministry degree from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Chicago.

The Rev. Beth Sanders draws a fascinating connection between Joshua 24 and the parable of Jesus in Matthew 25. In both cases, the people were struggling to survive in a dark time, trying to make their way in a hostile world. And in both cases the way to do that was through committing to God in community together. But in neither case was it easy.
