The Rev. Dr. Cynthia Taylor is rector of Church of the Holy Comforter in Martinez, GA.

She has served in a variety of churches from Florence (S.C.) to Paris (France) to Augusta, Georgia. In 1999 she was asked by the Diocese of Georgia to start a new Episcopal Church in Columbia County. That church became Holy Comforter and has been her passion in ministry ever since.

Cindy is especially interested in the areas of Christian Formation, Pastoral Care and Preaching. She often serves as a guest preacher, teacher and retreat leader. Cindy has a Master of Divinity degree from Virginia Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from the University of the South's School of Theology. In her spare time, she likes to work with her corgis and makes therapy dog visits.

It's the eve of All Hallow's Eve--Halloween and a time to remember the words to this old Scottish prayer to protect us from the dark spirits who wish us ill. But Halloween also means that we are on the eve of one of the great feasts days of the Christian calendar--All Saint's Day and remember all the spirits of light and life.
