The Rev. Dr. Delmer Chilton

Denomination: Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)

The Rev. Dr. Delmer Chilton is a Lutheran pastor who currently serves as interim pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Athens, GA.

Delmer is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Guilford College in Greensboro. He studied for his M.Div. at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, and Duke University Divinity School in Durham. And he earned a D.Min. degree from the Graduate Theological Foundation in South Bend, IN.

Since his seminary days he has served United Methodist, Lutheran, and Episcopal churches in ministry roles, and for several years was assistant to the bishop of the Southeastern Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

He is the author of the Lectionary Lab Commentary series with Dr. John Fairless, with whom he participates in conferences and podcasts, and The Gospel According to Aunt Mildred.
