The Rev. Magrey R. deVega is the senior pastor of Hyde Park United Methodist Church in Tampa, Florida.

He is the author of numerous books and DVD series: Awaiting the Already: An Advent Journey Through the Gospels (Abingdon Press); Songs for the Waiting: Devotions Inspired by the Hymns of Advent (Westminster/John Knox Press); One Faithful Promise: The Wesleyan Covenant for Renewal (Abingdon Press); Embracing the Uncertain: A Lenten Study for Unsteady Times (Abingdon Press); Embracing the Uncertain: 40 Devotions for Unsteady Times (Abingdon Press).

He is the Leadership Editor for Covenant Bible Study (Abingdon Press) and the curriculum writer for numerous small group studies. He is a contributor to Feasting on the Gospels (Westminster/John Knox Press) and numerous volumes on preaching and worship planning.

He has also served as the featured speaker for numerous conferences around the country.

He received his M.Div at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio and has served churches in Florida, Iowa, and Ohio.

He lives in Tampa with his two amazing teenage daughters.
