Bishop Rob Wright: Hall of Faith

Baseball has Cooperstown, New York; football has Canton, Ohio; basketball has Springfield, Massachusetts. Where is the hall of fame for the faithful? Where is the great hallway for "those of us who understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from the things that are not visible."

You can find it in the  11th chapter of Hebrews.Over and over again the verses begin with "By faith." By faith Abraham moved his family to a distant land because of God's whisper to him. By faith Rahab found the courage to go against the norms and make a difference.

Today I am inviting you to turn your Bible to Hebrews chapter 11 and, after the last name there, write your name in the hall of faith. Do that, then write, "By faith I have.... By faith I am...."

El salón de la fama de la fe

El salón de la fama del Béisbol está en Cooperstown, Nueva York; el del fútbol está en Canton, Ohio; el del baloncesto está en Springfield, Massachusetts. ¿Dónde está el salón de la fama de los fieles? ¿Dónde está la gran entrada para los que "sabemos que Dios formó los mundos mediante su palabra, de modo que lo que ahora vemos fue hecho de cosas que no podían verse".  

Se puede encontrar en el capítulo 11 de la Carta a los Hebreos. Una y otra vez los versos comienzan con "... por la fe". Por la fe, Abraham, al ser llamado por Dios, se trasladó con su familia a una tierra lejana. Por la fe Rajab tuvo el valor de ir en contra de las normas y hacer una diferencia. 

Hoy les invito a que abran su Biblia en el capítulo 11 de la Carta a los Hebreos y, después del último nombre que encuentren  allí, escriban su nombre en el salón de la fama de la fe. Hagan eso, y luego escriban: "Por la fe que tengo... Por la fe, soy..."
