Bishop Rob Wright: Plans

The church proclaims that "Christ is King." King of what? One answer is king of plans. "I know the plans I have for you," God said to Jeremiah. "Plans for your welfare, not for your harm. Plans with a future with hope."

 

Whose plan for you is like God's? Whose plan is to be with you, for you and ahead of you all at the same time? Whose plan takes lead and makes it into gold? Whose plan for you guarantees that the worst thing won't be the last thing?

 

The world can't know nor can the church fully proclaim that Christ is King until He becomes the king of more of our lives. Until we exchange more of our plans for His plan.

 

Christ has a plan for our lives. A plan to reconcile our blessings and our blemishes. His love is king and His throne is mercy.

 

 

Planes

 

La Iglesia proclama que "Cristo es el Rey".  ¿Rey de qué? Una respuesta es que es rey de planes. "Yo sé los planes que tengo para ustedes", dijo Dios a Jeremías. "Planes para tu bienestar y no para tu mal. Planes para un futuro con esperanza".

¿Qué plan tuyo es como el de Dios? ¿Qué plan te acompañará, será para ti y al mismo tiempo se te adelantará? ¿Qué plan te guiará y se convertirá en oro? ¿Qué plan te garantiza que lo peor no será la última cosa?

El mundo no puede conocer ni puede la Iglesia proclamar plenamente que Cristo es el Rey hasta que se convierta en el Rey de nuestras vidas. Hasta que intercambiamos más nuestros planes con su plan.

Cristo tiene un plan para nuestras vidas. Un plan para reconciliar nuestras bendiciones y nuestros defectos. Su amor es rey y su trono la misericordia.
