Reformed Church in America - RCA

The Reformed Church in America is a historic Reformed Protestant denomination with roots in New Amsterdam in 1628. Today, it describes itself as a fellowship of congregations called by God and empowered by the Holy Spirit to be the presence of Jesus Christ in the world. The RCA is a confessional church, shaped by the Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, Canons of Dort, and Belhar Confession. It follows a presbyterian form of government and equips churches for worship, discipleship, church planting, leadership formation, and global mission. Its long history includes work in overseas mission and ongoing efforts to help congregations thrive in changing communities.
