He holds the Master of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology at Emory.
Jimmy and his wife Julie have two children, Allyson and Josh, and two grandchildren. Jimmy loves sports; in fact, in high school he played on a state championship soccer team. Georgia Tech is his favorite football team, with South Carolina (where Allyson and Philip went to school and Philip played ball) coming in a close second. He's an avid reader (a book a week!), likes hiking, and loves the Varsity.
He loves music of all kinds. He especially enjoys baroque and Ralph Vaughn Williams. Jimmy's real "soul music," as he puts it, is folk and country.
