Denomination: Presbyterian Church (USA) (PCUSA)
Organization: Trinity Presbyterian Church, Atlanta, GA

The Rev. Katie Givens Kime is Associate Pastor for Adult Ministries at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Atlanta, GA.

Katie has served at Trinity since January 2006, helping lead that congregation's mission and adult education ministries.

A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Katie received a bachelor of arts with academic honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a double major in communication science and rhetorical and religious studies. After college, she served a one-year term as an AmeriCorps volunteer in rural Idaho, where she coordinated mediation services for juveniles in the court system and led home education programs with at-risk families of young children.

She received her Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in New York, where she discovered passions for preaching, depth psychology, and grappling with the theological challenges posed to Christians in a pluralistic world. She was a 2002 Fund for Theological Education Ministry Fellow, and an intern at Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York for two years.

Katie has contributed to Feasting on the Word, the lectionary-based preaching resource published by Westminster-John Knox, as well as a sermon for the Pentecost 2012 issue of Journal for Preachers. Katie lives in Atlanta with her husband, composer Haddon Givens Kime, and their daughter Abby.
