The Rev. Dr. Pamela C. Hawkins

Pamela C. Hawkins is a United Methodist clergywoman with a heart for contemplative prayer and imaginative writing for the Christian spiritual life. Pam currently serves as associate pastor at Belmont United Methodist Church in Nashville, Tennessee. Previously she served as managing editor of Weavings: A Journal of the Christian Spiritual Life; associate director of The Center for Excellence in Ministry at Duke Divinity School; and as associate pastor in other local congregations in Nashville. Pam is the author of three books, Simply Wait: Cultivating Stillness in the Season of Advent, The Awkward Season: Prayers for Lent, and Behold! Cultivating Attentiveness in the Season of Advent. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Vanderbilt University Divinity School and a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Spirituality from Columbia Theological Seminary. Pam and her husband, Ray, live in Nashville, Tennessee.
