The Rev. Dr. Lewis Galloway

Dr. Lewis Galloway joined the staff at Second Presbyterian Church in April 2004. Galloway was previously the Senior Pastor of Shandon Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina, where he served for 14 years. Lewis has a strong commitment to mission and has developed many hands-on opportunities for community mission. He currently serves on the advisory boards for the Central Indiana Red Cross and St. Vincent's Hospital. He is the vice-president of the Interfaith Hunger Initiative of Indianapolis. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Union Theological Seminary and the Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Virginia.
A graduate of Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, Galloway earned his Th.M. and D.Min. degrees from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA. He also received a Master of Theology there after receiving the Walter Moore Fellowship for Graduate Study. Fluent in French, he has studied in France twice, attending the Universitie Paul Valery in Montpelier and the Faculte de Theologie Protestante (School of Protestant Theology) in Paris.
Dr. Galloway is married to the Rev. Dr. Eleanor H. Alexander (Bunny), and they have three grown children.
