In his sermon on Luke 14, the Rev. Matthew Ruffner says Jesus challenges us to examine who we ignore or turn away from--certain people, particular world problems and pains. Jesus encourages us to remember that we belong to one another, and to imagine what it would be like if we lived as though that were actually true.
