The Rev. Scott Seeke

Denomination: Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA)

 

The Rev. Scott Seeke is co-pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livonia, MI, with his spouse, the Rev. Beth Birkholz.

He was Senior Pastor of Amazing Grace in Lawrenceville, GA before moving to Michigan. Over 16 years as a pastor, he has also served churches in Roswell, Alpharetta and Marietta. Before that he worked as a church youth director. He attended Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2001.

A native of Upstate New York, he is a passionate fan of Syracuse University. His hobbies include lacrosse and writing, and he is known for the Sony film Get Low  and the book Uncle Bush's Live Funeral . He is also a frequent contributor to The Lutheran magazine and blogs at scottseeke.com.

His wife Beth Birkholz is also a pastor. They have two children, two cats and a seventy pound lap dog named Chipper Jones.
