The Rev. Dr. Barry Howard

The Rev. Dr. Barry Howard currently serves as the pastor at the Church at Wieuca in North Atlanta. He and his wife, Amanda, reside in Brookhaven, Georgia. Previously, he served as the senior minister of the First Baptist Church in Pensacola, FL, from 2005-2017. Prior to his tenure in Pensacola, Dr. Howard served churches in Alabama and Kentucky.
Barry earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from Jacksonville State University, a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia, and has completed additional studies at Oxford University, Oxford, England. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University, and Samford University.
Dr. Howard has a natural talent for fostering healthy practices among clergy and congregations. In addition to his love for the local church, he enjoys golf, reading, and writing.
