Rev. Dr. Aimee Moiso is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and a respected leader at the intersection of preaching, theology, and public witness. Her work reflects a deep commitment to helping Christian communities communicate faithfully in times of conflict, polarization, and social change.
Dr. Moiso earned her Ph.D. in Homiletics and Liturgics from Vanderbilt University in 2020, where her research focused on relational preaching and the ways sermons shape communal identity amid disagreement. Her academic training equips her to engage both the church and the public square with clarity, theological depth, and pastoral care.
She has served as associate director of the Louisville Institute, supporting research and innovation that strengthen connections between congregational life and theological education. In this role, she worked closely with pastors, scholars, and faith leaders across denominations, encouraging thoughtful engagement with contemporary challenges facing the church. Dr. Moiso has also served as managing editor of Homiletics, the journal of the Academy of Homiletics, contributing to ongoing conversations about preaching as a vital practice for the life of the church.
Earlier in her vocation, Dr. Moiso directed Ecumenical and Interfaith Ministries at Santa Clara University, an experience that deepened her lifelong commitment to Christian unity and interreligious understanding.
