The Rev. Dr. Aimee Moiso, an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), serves as the manager of social policy witness for the denomination. She previously served as Associate Director of the Louisville Institute, supporting research and leadership that strengthen connections between congregational life and theological education.
In addition to an M.Div. from San Francisco Theological Seminary and a master’s degree in ecumenical studies from the Bossey Ecumenical Institute in Geneva, Switzerland, Aimee holds a Ph.D. in religion from Vanderbilt University, where her academic focus was homiletics. She has been active in ecumenical and interreligious dialogue at both national and international levels and previously served as Director of Ecumenical and Interfaith Ministries at Santa Clara University, a Jesuit institution.
As a consultant and researcher for Day1, Aimee explores the sermon archives in search of lost and forgotten treasures, helping the team reflect on how more than 80 years of mainline Protestant preaching can serve as a meaningful gift to the wider public. When she’s not immersed in preaching, policy, or denominational life, Aimee enjoys time in the garden coaxing life out of the soil or in the kitchen pulling baked goods from the oven. She lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with her husband and their two cats, Grace and Wonder.
