The Most Rev. Njongonkulu Ndungane

The Most Rev. Njongonkulu Ndungane was the Archbishop of Cape Town and Primate of the Anglican Church of Southern Africa.

He decided to enter the church during his three-year sentence on Robben Island as a political prisoner in the early 1960s.

In 2006, he launched African Monitor, a pan-African not-for-profit body which seeks to monitor how the Western world meets its commitments to the MDGs and how recipient countries fulfill their part of the agreement.
