The Rev. Dr. William J. Danaher

William Danaher is dean of the faculty of theology at Huron University College, University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, Canada. He is an ordained priest in the Anglican Church in Canada, and formerly in the Episcopal Church. He received the A.B. from Brown University (1988), the M.Div. from Virginia Theological Seminary (1994), and the M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. from Yale University, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (2001, 2002).
Prior to coming to Huron, he served as Associate Professor of Christian Ethics at The General Theological Seminary (New York City, NY) and Associate Professor of Theology and Ethics at the University of the South (Sewanee, TN) from 2000-2006.
He has also served as urban and rural congregations in Connecticut, Tennessee and New York City. He also served as associate rector of Grace Church, New York City.
In addition to publishing a book (The Trinitarian Ethics of Jonathan Edwards, Westminster John Knox Press, 2004) and several articles, in 2004 he received the John Hines Preaching Award, a national award that recognizes sermons focused on social justice. Prior to coming to New York City, he also worked as volunteer facilitator for juvenile offenders for a Victim-Offender Reconciliation Program in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Danaher and his wife are the parents of two daughters.

The Rev. Dr. Danaher is the Assistant Professor of Theology and Christian Ethics at the University of the South at Sewanee. He is also winner of the 2004 John Hines Preaching Award at Virginia Theological Seminary.
