The Rev. Dr. Kris Lewis
Denomination: The Episcopal Church (TEC)
Organization: Trinity Episcopal Church, Seymour, CT
The Rev. Dr. Kris Lewis came to Trinity in September, 2009 as the 33rd (and first female) rector Previously Kris served as Assistant Rector at Saint Mary's Church in Barnstable MA. She holds degrees from the College of Charleston (SC), the University of Florida, and the General Theological Seminary. She is a life-long Episcopalian, and has a deep and abiding love for the prayer book and Episcopal liturgy and tradition.
Kris has had four careers: first as a stay-at-home mom, second as a full-time student and mom, third as a professor of developmental psychology at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, VT, and finally as a priest. She feels blessed that her somewhat unconventional career path has afforded her the opportunity to learn, to live in diverse settings, and to meet many interesting people.
Kris has four children, all out of the nest, and (almost) three grandchildren who are the light of her life. At home in the rectory, Kris likes to read, and is an avid amateur photographer.
