Rev. Dennis Patterson Jr. is the priest in charge of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in Decatur, Georgia. A dedicated preacher, educator, and pastoral leader, he has served in diverse ministerial settings across the Episcopal and AME traditions.

Before leading Holy Cross, Rev. Patterson was a priest associate for Christian Education and Parish Life at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Atlanta. He also served as rector of St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church in Hampton, VA, campus minister at Grace Episcopal Church in Norfolk, and assistant pastor at Centerville Chapel AME Church in Chesapeake.

Rev. Patterson holds a Master of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in New York, where he was shaped by rigorous theological inquiry and a commitment to social justice. He later earned a post-graduate diploma in Anglican Studies from Virginia Theological Seminary and completed the American Studies Program at St. Edmund's Hall, Oxford.

His ministry is deeply rooted in educational leadership, community engagement, and spiritual formation, with a passion for preaching that uplifts, challenges, and transforms. In addition to his parish work, Rev. Patterson serves as a trustee of the Alliance for Christian Media, contributing to the mission of bringing high-quality biblical preaching to a broader audience.
