The Rev. Dr. Brian Christopher Coulter is an ordained teaching elder within the PC(USA) and currently serves as pastor of First Presbyterian Church Fort Worth in Fort Worth, Texas. Before coming to Fort Worth in 2021, he served at First Presbyterian Church of Aiken, South Carolina, and Trinity Presbyterian Church in Fairhope, Alabama.

Brian earned an honors B.A. in sociology from Oklahoma State University, an M.Div. from Columbia Theological Seminary, and a D.Min. in homiletics through McCormick with the Association of Chicago Theological Schools. He is also currently working on his M.B.A. at Texas Christian University.

He has written for numerous publications including Presbyterian Outlook, Journal for Preachers, Thoughtful Christian, These Days, Duke’s Faith and Leadership, Presbyterians Today, and The Presbyterian Leader. He is the author of Be Holy: Find Identity, Find Belonging, Find Purpose, published by Chalice Press.

Across his ministry, preaching, and writing, Coulter brings together pastoral leadership, theological reflection, and a sustained interest in identity, belonging, and spiritual formation. His work reflects a commitment to helping congregations engage scripture with clarity and purpose while remaining attentive to the everyday realities of Christian life. As a pastor in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), he has served congregations in a range of settings and continues to contribute to church life through preaching, writing, and teaching.
