The Rev. Canon Lisa Hackney-James is an Episcopal priest who serves as Sub-dean and Canon of St. James Cathedral in Chicago, IL.
Lisa was ordained at St. James in 2003 and returned to the diocese in 2014 after serving nearly a decade in Cleveland Heights, an inner-ring suburb of Cleveland, OH, where she served two Episcopal parishes.
After attending Wayne State University in Detroit, she graduated from Northeastern Illinois University, and then earned her M.Div. from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, now part of Bexley Seabury Seminary.
Since fall 2020 she has served as board president for Invite Welcome Connect, an Episcopal program founded by Mary Parmer.
