From the hidden depths of every soul come gentle, but insistent, murmurings which refuse to be quieted by the soothing evasions devised by the wisdom of man. Author and pastor John R. Gunn writes, "It's convincing evidence that the soul was made for God, and only God can satisfy its longings". Our tragedy is that it is too easy to ignore these yearnings of the soul. In our noisy and busy modern life, we hear the world, and not the promptings of God.
