Minister Brandon J. Perkins was born February 3, 1988 in Nashville, TN to Rev. Byron and Mrs. Tina Perkins. In April 2005 Perkins announced his calling to the gospel ministry and on June 26, 2005 was licensed to preach the Gospel at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Nashville, TN at the age of seventeen. He is a 2010 Cum Laude graduate from the Historic Fisk University with degrees in History & Religion/Philosophical Studies, and also a 2012 graduate from Trevecca Nazarene University with a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree. As of August 2012 Perkins is matriculating at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA pursuing a M. Div/ Master of Arts in Christian Education. Throughout Perkins' ministry he has been blessed to serve as a Youth and Children's Church pastor, Youth and Adult Sunday School instructor, and currently a Sunday School curriculum writer.  

He has been blessed to serve as an associate minister and chapel assistant at the Historic Fisk Memorial Chapel at Fisk University under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Jason R. Curry.

He also previously served on the leadership team for the Lilly Endowment's, Academy of Preachers and has four published sermons in their sermon anthologies. In addition to these publications he also has an article published in the African American Lectionary entitled, Reclaiming Our Past Values and Engaging Our Present Challenge: The Church's Charge in Helping Save Urban Education. He is currently researching how educators embody a radical and liberative pedagogy for the Black Church.

Throughout Perkins' ministry he has held firm to the belief that the Gospel of Jesus the Christ has the power to save the lost, liberate the oppressed, and bring hope to humanity.
